Researchers warn that yoga may be more dangerous than previously thought. This conclusion comes from recent research done at the University of Sydney. It was found that more than 10 percent of participants has musculoskeletal pain and that over 21 percent of existing injuries were made worse. Although these percentages are in line with the injury rate of other sports, among the 350 participants, 74 percent reported improvements in their pain. With the new found popularity for yoga, it is important that people look at it as any other sport and follow all safety measures to prevent injury.
