Sun screen should be your first line of defence when it comes to protecting your skin. It can also be life saving choice seeing 90% of skin cancer is caused by exposure to the sun. Doctors also advise regularly to apply sunacreen if you want to ward off wrinkles and skin disorders.
So with that said, there are few important things you need to know about this all round product.
Anything greater than SPF 50 gives the same amount of protection. So there’s actually no reason to shell out money for higher spf sunscreen.
If you use moisturizers and creams which say they double up as sunscreen, be advised they are usually never enough and do not offer a sufficient amount of protection.
You ought to use an ounce of sunscreen to cover your whole body and do remember to reapply every 3-4 hours, especially if you’ve been sweating or swimming since the effectiveness wears off.
When picking up a sunscreen, be sure it has atleast SPF 15 protection, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, offers a wide spectrum of protection against UVA/UVB and is water resistant incase you go swimming.
