The team here at Healing Back Pain: Solutions is proud to announce our new project: Healing Education, a monthly magazine available on iPhone and soon to be available on Android. The magazine is an app that provides valuable information about back pain causes and treatment that can be downloaded to your device.
Our first issue launched in February of 2014 and contains several topics of interest to those looking for safe, effective and natural methods for working toward a pain-free life.
About the Issue
Our first issue contains six articles in the following categories: Body Focus; Fact vs. Fiction; Product Corner; Nutrition; Management; Exercise.
Our Body Focus category offers information on a particular body part and its relation to back pain. We “kick off” our first ever Body Focus section with “Flat Feet Can Cause Back Pain.” This article delves into the relationship between foot arches, gait and the lower back. The article offers management advice for flat feet and the pain they can cause.
In Fact vs. Fiction, we walk you through common misconceptions in the world of back pain with the article, “4 Back Pain Treatment Misconceptions Keeping You in Pain.” Here, you’ll learn about counterproductive beliefs surrounding back pain treatment, including misconceptions about medication and diagnosis. Adjusting your ideas around back pain may be the first step toward effective management.
Product Corner is designed to offer insight and advice concerning a product that promotes (or claims to promote) healthy living. In this issue, we look at inversion tables – both the scientific evidence pertaining to them and product reviews from those who have used an inversion table as a component of herniated disc treatment.
Our Nutrition category is dedicated to the connection between what we eat and how we feel. This issue’s article, “Detox Diets: Do They Work and Are They Safe?” takes a critical look at the popular form of diet and its claims to promote health.
The Management section offers an overview of back pain treatment. This issue features an article on the difference between Doctors of Medicine (M.D.s) and the less common but more holistic Doctors of Osteopathy (D.O.s). The article contains comparisons of medical training, areas of focus and accessibility.
Finally, our Exercise section is dedicated to useful information about back pain exercise. The first issue features an article that explores the comprehensive body of research in support of yoga as an effective form of exercise therapy for lower back pain.
